Honey Lemon Face Mask

As holidays have ended, your face is in need of a good treatment. While taking a resting break from all that food, alcohol, too much make up and stress it would be good idea to prepare to yourself a refreshing mask for your face. It is very simple and I’m sure that you already have all the necessary ingredients at home.  But let me first introduce you to some health benefits of honey and lemon.

The enzymes in raw honey clarify skin and keep pores clear and clean. The natural antibacterial and probiotic properties of raw honey effectively reduce breakouts and prevent new acne. It works well on all skin types. It balances oily skin and moisturizes dry skin.

Lemon juice can help you with brightening or lightening the skin that means that it can reduce age and dark spots. It can also reduce wrinkling because the C vitamin’s boosting collagen production. And to conclude, lemons are great for reducing excess oil.

Honey and Lemon

You will need:
·         ½ lemon
·         1 tbsp. raw honey

Mix together 1 tablespoon of raw honey and half squeezed lemon, when you get   liquid consistency apply it all over a clean face avoiding eye area. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and then rinse off with cold water so your pores close. I recommend doing this 2-3 times  a week.

It’s tea time! Make yourself a cup of your favorite tea and join me in this post. Today you can read about different kinds of tea and their health benefits. I have picked top five of mine.
So let’s begin!
1.      Green tea
Green tea is claimed to be the healthiest drink on the world. It is full of antioxidants and poly-phenols because processing avoids fermentation. According to researches, green tea can speed up metabolism and can lower blood pressure. Also it is good for your skin, it may prevent skin damage and wrinkling.

2.      Rooibos tea
Best thing about rooibos tea is that it can be drunk as often as you wish because it is caffeine free. You can drink it before bedtime because it can help with insomnia. Rooibos
tea contains a lot of minerals that are important for our body e.g. magnesium, calcium,
manganese, zinc and iron.

3.      Peppermint tea
It is the best choice when you have a sore throat or cold. Also helps to prevent nausea, vomiting and provides relief from bloating, excess gas and cramping. Peppermint tea has antibacterial properties which helps kill the germs and control bad breath.

4.      Chamomile tea
Chamomile tea is calming tea. It is the best for insomnia, stress relief and it’s also depression cure. It may help soothe such skin problems as eczema, contact dermatitis and diaper rash.

5.      Cranberry tea
If you have problems with bladder related to urinary tract infection it’s good to drink cranberry tea. It’s also high in vitamins and antioxidants and can help you in boosting your immune system.
